Social Media Code of Conduct
Please find below a copy of the updated AHSA Social Media Code of Conduct.
The new Board is committed to promoting the Arabian Horse in the positive light it deserves. As always, we are looking to attract and maintain new memberships for the longevity of the Society.
Therefore, our image on social media is vital. Members share the responsibility to promote our beautiful horses and the activities they pursue in a positive manner.
Members who choose social media platforms to air their grievances, degrade the AHSA, or individuals who represent AHSA, may be disciplined in accordance with the Articles of Association. Abuse, trolling, and bullying over social media is absolutely unacceptable and all Members can be assured the AHSA will take a no tolerance approach on this. Members are reminded that there have been instances where victims of this behaviour have committed suicide. Social media is a public forum, people’s families and friends, and people from all around the world are also exposed to anything that is written, positive or negative.
Any questions or concerns regarding the running of the AHSA will only be dealt with if they are presented through the correct channel, ie; email firstname.lastname@example.org The secretary will then ensure that your query goes to those who can answer it correctly for you.
